Worship Service Times

We invite you to come let God strengthen your faith through worship at Holy Cross.
Holy Cross is committed to offering joyful worship opportunities in which God is present, enriching us by his Word and offering his forgiveness and in which we respond to him in prayer and praise. Holy Cross recognizes the wealth of God's Word in the liturgy used by the church for centuries and continues to utilize and benefit from this liturgical form of worship. You will find a variety of praise, contemporary, and traditional music used in our services on various weeks so that God's people may rejoice in all the musical gifts God has given his church in order to praise him.
The order of our service--including all hymns, scripture readings, and prayers--is completely printed out in a service folder for every worshipper to make it easy to follow, even if you've never worshipped with us before.

Summer brings a plethora of activities. Here in the Great Northwest many people take advantage of the warmer weather and vacation on weekends. Holy Cross offers Wednesday evening church services at 7:00 p.m. during the summer months, June through August.Holy Communion:
The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated every week: at the 11:00 Service on the first and third Sundays of each month and at the 8:00 service on the second and fourth Sundays. Distribution includes both common cup and individual cup and is a matter of personal choice.Communion Practice:
We believe that in the Lord's Supper we receive the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ with the bread and wine, instituted by Christ himself for us Christians to eat and to drink (Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-25). Through this eating and drinking, we receive the forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation. The Apostle Paul notes the importance of those who come to the Lord's Supper coming in a worthy manner (1 Corinthians 11:25-19), that is, coming in an attitude of repentance, recognizing this as the true body and blood of the Lord Jesus, and firmly believing Christ and his words that this is given for the forgiveness of sins. The Apostle Paul also notes the importance of unity within the body of believers who receive this sacrament (1 Corinthians 10:16-17). For these reasons and since Christian Churches vary widely in their teachings about the Lord's Supper, we ask that all guests who have not been instructed and confirmed in a Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) please speak to the pastor prior to communing with us in our worship services.
