G3 - Middle School Youth

G3— "Girls, Guys, & God" is a fellowship time for youth in grades 7 and 8.  They gather for fun, fundraising, service, and retreat events monthly throughout the year.  Watch the monthly newsletters--both the main church newsletter and the youth newsletter--for specific event information.  Confirmands (those enrolled in our Confirmation classes) are especially encouraged to participate.

Sunday Morning Bible Classes at 9:30 a.m. for Jr./Sr. High Students

"Who's Who of the New Testament" will give us a chance to look deeply at some of the personalities of the New Testament and find strength from their failures and their faith.

"One Faith, Many Creeds" is a look at fellow Christians in other churches and what they believe.  In April Eric Bouma will join the Junior and Senior high to broaden our perspective of Christianity and depen our understanding of our own faith as we compare the Baptist faith to our own.

Homework Club

When you leave school and begin your homework, are you a bit lost or confused?  Does the work seem overwhelming, especially in Math or Science?  Then this is just for you!  On Mondays, between 4 and 6:30 p.m. Don and Sarah Comi offer an open tutoring time on a drop-in basis as a ministry both to the congregation and to the wider student community.  The focus is on math and science from Don and on elementary education from Sarah.  In order to give them time to help you, please arrive between 4 and 6 p.m.  Have friends who need help too?  Bring them along!  Don't need help but just want a quite place to hang and do your homework?  That's okay too!  Come join us!

Homework Club will be on summer hiatus after May 15.  See you in the fall!

Youth Handchime Choir

Our youth handchime choir meets weekly on Tuesdays from 6:15 to 7 p.m. for practice.  Students in grades 2 through 12 are invited to join this choir. The group will play mostly on holidays.  Questions?  Speak with Heather Selset.

Junior High Confirmation Nights

The 7th Grade Confirmation students have their last class of the year on May 9. The 8th Grade Confirmation students and at least one parent from each family will meet with Pastor Mike for Confirmation rehearsal on May 16 at normal confirmation time. Watch for signs when you come in to see where we’ll meet—with construction, things are changing daily.

The 8th Grade Confirmands will give their faith essays in worship on the first two weeks of May and then will be confirmed on May 20. All 8th Grade families should plan to be at church in the sanctuary dressed and ready for pictures at 10 AM on Sunday, May 20.
