Cross My Art Goes to Alaska

Cross My Art Goes to Alaska

July 1, 2017 - August 31, 2017

What a great time they had.  Check out these pictures and ask the Sievers or Von Behrens about their trip when you see them.

On the first day of mission work, they served at a church service then celebrated with the congregation in Copper Center, AK with a potluck dinner.  What great Alaskan food was had by all.  Then, in the afternoon they walked around the two villages passing out flyers and visiting with people about Cross My Art Camp which would begin the next day.

On Day two they began their day doing some work for missionary Todd Roeske putting windows in his house.  In the evening at 5 p.m. Art Camp began.    Keep checking back each day this week for more news as the week progresses and more pictures arrive.

Art Camp started off a little slow with only 9 kids the first day of camp, but the second day of camp they were up to 13 kids. The Good News is spreading and Jesus is doing His work in these two communities and only He knows who to bring each day to hear His message.  God is faithful and these servants of His are following His guidance to deliver His message and the Lord will do the rest. Please keep them in your prayers.

Wednesday and Thursday our camp size began to increase.  We ended with serving 23 different kids over the week and had 17 in attendance on the last day.  This year our camp was in the evening so we began with dinner for the kids and on the last day, we served a "Community Dinner" and invited all in the community to join us.  This was a tremendous way to end the week and we had the opportunity to meet the parents and family members of the kids attending and a chance to share the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, with each of these families.  What and awesome week and Thank you to the Sievers and Von Beherens for spending your vacation serving our Lord Jesus in Alaska!!
