What Is There For Me?

No matter what your age, you'll discover something just for you at Holy Cross, whether you are still in school, just out of high school, enjoying your golden years, or anywhere in between. Here are four different areas of life at Holy Cross, each offering a variety of opportunities:

Worship

Worship is the most basic component of the Christian life. Scripture encourages us "Do not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing but let us encourage one another" (Hebrews 10:25) and "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom as as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" (Colossians 3:16). This is our opportunity to be enriched and encouraged for Christian living.

Growth

The last word we have from Peter, the disciple and apostle of Jesus, is this:  "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). God wants us to grow. If you know nothing about Jesus or if you've been a believer and follower all your life, you'll find opportunities at Holy Cross to grow in knowledge of Jesus through study of God's Word, in your personal life through practical Christian education, and in service to others through our Christian training and service ministries.

Fun

God encourages us, "Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ giving thanks to God the Father through him" (Colossians 3:17). God has given us so many things to enjoy in this world, and at Holy Cross we love to enjoy them together in Jesus' name. From church-wide campouts to family nights, congregational auctions to sporting events, retreats to potlucks--you'll find it all at Holy Cross.

Service

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith" says the Apostle Paul, but he goes on, "not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:8-10). God has works of service prepared for you to do. Whether you want to work with your hands or visit the sick, comfort the bereaved or serve the needy, help with children or sing in a choir, here at Holy Cross you'll find both opportunity and training for service to him.

We invite you to check out our ministries where you'll find more information about all these opportunities.
